A platform for self-benchmarking and facilitating international mobility

Studies and surveys for self-benchmarking

On behalf of its members, Cindex carries out various studies and surveys, either at their request or recurrently, in particular:

  • An annual survey on the development and profile of internationally mobile staff
  • A comparative remuneration study for each country, every three years. This provides only one frame of reference for development in the remuneration packages granted to expatriates

Studies and surveys are carried out in the respect of absolute confidentiality and the rules of law, especially Anti-Trust law (Cindex Charter). Cindex has an on-line survey tool designed for this purpose.

Agreements signed by Cindex to facilitate international mobility

An agreement between Cindex member companies relative to the spouses/partners of expatriates
21 December 2001

This agreement enables employees of a signatory company - whose spouse or partner (through a "PACS" or civil union agreement) is posted as an expatriate by another signatory company - to have the benefit of unpaid leave.  In this case, spouses or partners might be able to leave their original country without breaching their work contract.

To date, 28 companies have signed this agreement to facilitate the international mobility of their staff.

An agreement with the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs was signed to improve cooperation and exchanges of information in case of a health and safety crisis.
12 June 2009, renewed on 3 March 2011

Cindex is not involved in lobbying but rather communicates to public institutions any concerns or questions on expatriation shared b y its members.
